This year marks the 60th Anniversary of the DofE challenge. I have loved progressing through each stage of DofE from my Bronze Expedition in the Marlborough Downs to climbing the Breche de Capitello in Corsica for my Gold DofE expedition.
And now, I am taking part in the Diamond DofE challenge and my aim this time is to complete the National Three Peak Challenge in 24 Hours.
The three mountains are:
Snowdon, in Wales (1085m)
Scafell Pike, in England (978m)
Ben Nevis, in Scotland (1344m)
I will be traveling to Scotland to start climbing Ben Nevis at 11am on Saturday 4th June, finishing by 4pm. Then, climb Scafell Pike at 10pm finishing at 2am. And then head to Snowdon for a 6am climb, finishing by 11am Sunday morning within 24 hours!
I would be so grateful if you could sponsor me and help transform the lives of vulnerable young people, so that DofE can power generations to come and offer more young people the gift of opportunity.
If I raise £40 that will help fund the registration cost of a DofE programme for a young person from a disadvantaged community. If I raise £100 that will help us train more inspiring DofE Leaders. Or reach £150 and that will help fund one of our specially-trained local operations team for a day.
Ps... For me to complete the Challenge, I need to also raise a minimum of £60 - I believe that can easily be done!
